Ingredients
- 330 g self-raising flour
- 360 g granulated sugar
- 360 g butter
- 6 eggs
- 30 g unsweetened black cocoa powder
- 400 g butter (for frosting)
- 800 g powdered sugar
- Electric green food coloring
- 90 ml milk
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 250 g Orange fondant
- 200 g Black fondant
- 1 tbsp CMC powder
- Sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a baking pan.
- Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy, then mix in eggs one at a time.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; gradually combine with wet ingredients alternating with milk.
- Pour batter into the pan and bake for approximately 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before crumbling the cake into small pieces.
- For the buttercream, beat together salted butter and powdered sugar; add vanilla and food coloring until smooth.
- Layer crumbled cake and buttercream in each jar, topping with sprinkles and fondant decorations.
