  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 oz penne or fettuccine pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the chicken until golden brown and cooked through (about 5–7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat; add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in additional Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, whisking continuously until smooth. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
  5. Slice the rested chicken, return it to the skillet along with drained pasta, tossing everything together until well coated.
