Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the granulated sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with milk until just combined.

  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. For frosting, mix melted butter with cocoa powder, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Frost cooled cake.
