Description

Beijing-Style Beef Stir-Fry is a vibrant and flavorful dish that brings the essence of Asian cuisine right to your table. This quick and easy recipe features tender beef, crisp bell peppers, and a sweet-spicy sauce, making it perfect for busy weeknights or entertaining guests.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef in a bowl with soy sauce, cornstarch, and dry apple juice for about 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix together ketchup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili garlic sauce, and cornstarch mixed with water until smooth.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat; sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Add sliced onions and bell peppers; stir-fry for about 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Push vegetables to the side, add marinated beef in a single layer; cook for 2–3 minutes until browned.
  6. Combine everything in the wok; pour in the sauce and stir well until evenly coated. Cook for an additional minute until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
